Blacksmith's Soup of the day

Chicken liver pate flavoured with port and brandy served with warm toast and grape chutney

Local black pudding served with tomato chutney and a pink peppercorn sauce

Chilled melon with strawberries and kiwi fruit served with a raspberry and mango coulis

Sardines pan-fried with rosemary and garlic served with a tomato and basil sauce

Chicken and diced gammon gently cooked in a cream leek sauce topped with puff pastry

Escalopes of turkey in sage bread crumbs served with lemon in a red wine sauce

Tender cubes of lamb gently cooked in authentic Indian spices served with pilau rice, chutney and a crisp puppodum

 

Local pheasant pan-fried with chipolata sausages served in a red wine and lentil jus

 

Fillet of salmon pan-fried in a lemon and garlic poppy seed butter served on garden mash
