Starters

   

Blacksmith’s soup of the day

 Duck and pheasant pate served with grape chutney and warm toast

 Haggis traditionally served with a swede puree and a light red wine sauce

 Chilled melon with strawberries and kiwi fruit

 Smoked mackerel and spring onion fish cakes with garlic mayonnaise

 Button mushrooms gently cooked in a cream garlic sauce served in a delicate pastry case

Mains

    

Chicken and diced gammon gently cooked in a cream leek sauce topped with puff pastry

 Slow roast pork served on a garden herb mash with a mushroom and Madeira wine sauce

 Beef in red wine with diced gammon and mushrooms and glazed onions served on garden herb mash

 Seared tuna steak served on sliced potatoes with a tomato and basil sauce

Blackberry crème brulee

  Hazelnut and strawberry meringue

  Fresh fruit salad and ice cream 

Warm chocolate and pecan pie

 Black cherry and almond tart with custard

 Sticky toffee pudding and toffee sauce
