Blacksmith’s soup of the day

 

Chicken and pork pate served with warm toast and grape chutney

 

Chilled melon with strawberries and kiwi fruit served with a raspberry and mango coulis

 

Local black pudding served with tomato chutney and a whisky and peppercorn sauce

 

Haggis traditionally served on swede puree and a light red wine sauce

Chicken and diced gammon gently cooked in a cream leek sauce topped with puff pastry

 

Puff pastry tartlet topped with roast vegetables and melted goats cheese with a butter parsley sauce

 

Calves liver pan fried in sage butter served on garden herb mash with bacon and a red wine sauce

 

Escalopes of pork served in a mushroom and marsala wine sauce

 

Fillet of salmon pan fried in garlic and pesto butter with lemon and poppy seeds served on sliced potatoes with a tomato and basil sauce

 

Shepherd’s Pie – tasty minced lamb served topped with mashed potato and delicious gravy
